Position Description:  In an effort to attain the goal of being recognized as the premiere wallcovering company in the world, this position shall be responsible for the day-to-day modis operandi of the international business of LSI on behalf of export distributors, LSI global sales reps and the LSI management team.


Key Responsibilities      **Customer Support (85% global, 15% domestic)**


  • Provide prompt and accurate confirmation of purchase orders
  • Provide prompt and accurate responses to email and telephone requests involving hold requests, stock availability, date improvements and other pertinent topics.
  • All verbal and written correspondence must be accurate and professional
  • Quotes utilize quote charts, custom, branded, program, etc. Seek assistance as needed. Provide prompt and accurate confirmation to clients. Confirm validity of quoted item, quantity, weight, construction, expiration date prior to order entry
  • Complete and forward commercial documentation for each export shipment
  • Communicate with freight forwarders to know and understand special shipping requirements for each country in order to maintain compliance
  • Advise customer of payment terms and determine if terms have been met before releasing shipment
  • Follow through on Letter of Credit requirements (with management assistance)
  • Establish new account information and update distributor price lists accordingly
  • Verify shipping records and submit orders for billing on a daily basis
  • Create product-specific documents such as flame spread letters, IMO, VOC, Second-Look, etc.
  • Act as liaison between management and customer
  • Verify and authorize freight bills for payment
  • File invoices daily and send to storage as needed
  • Update price lists with new product releases
  • Routine professional communication with internal departments


Global Sales Support


  • Provide sampling, banking, credit and company information to potential customers
  • Order, package and send samples as needed
  • Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets for proposals, pricing, etc.
  • Act as liaison between sales reps, production, design, accounting, quality control and senior management teams
  • Route emails and phone contacts from interested potential distributors to the correct sales rep                                                                  

Additional Responsibilities


  • Daily notification to customer of any production or shipment delay
  • Request and submit freight estimates and quotes
  • Facilitate custom strike offs with design/prototype team
  • Consolidate items from one location to another and synchronize shipments with warehouses and forwarders
  • Facilitate resolution of customer product quality/shipment complaints through use of software application and collaboration with colleagues. Request samples from job site and inventory. Communicate and follow through with QC for status of sample and remaining inventory. Provide same-day or next-day response to customer. Issue RA/Call tag/replacement order as needed. Knowledge of A & D &/or constructions industry helpful.
  • Negotiate and resolve issues, which require credit to distributors
  • Send new product introduction letters, pricing and samples as they become available
  • Coordinate collection on past due export accounts
  • Perform other related duties as required
  • Participation in internal training and adaptation of Lean Management toward continuous improvement integration
